It went off! This year's snowskate park at the X Games covered twice the real estate then last year's space and contained new and exciting elements. By request, a stair set and wall ride were implemented into the design. A beginner section was also added to the park that included a hand and box rail. The stairs took a beating as tricks were thrown in all shapes and sizes and Jarrod Plays killed it on the wall ride.

Guinness Book of World Records was in the house collecting new records for next years book. Each day a new contest was hosted and it is all going down in history. Day one Phil Smage took it away with the most consecutive kickflips, successfully landing 14 in a row. Day two brought a new competition but not a new winner. Phil Smage broke all expectations by ollying over 27 3/4" and somehow managed to make it look easy despite obvious pack pains. Day three Phil was still feeling the magic when he ollied the longest distance, clearing 11 feet 4 inches, and taking the record. Day four brought a new twist with the longest handstand competition and a new winner. Snowskate park visitor Trenton held the longest upside down vertical that lasted 4.38 seconds.

A huge congratulation goes out to Eric Schleicher for placing first in the AMARAMA contest. Premier team riders judged the competition and in the end voted Eric the top rider and newest addition to the Premier Team.

The Premier Snowskate Invitational Presented by JCPenney took place on Saturday January 27th at 2 PM.
Ten finalists battled it out for 45 minutes in a jam style format to see who would come out on top. In the end Phil Smage's skills once again dominated and he took home the gold. Coming in at second place for the second year in a row was Premier Team rider Max Konopatzke. Finishing the contest in third place was bi-level rider Sean Davis of Mammoth Lakes CA.
